I look forward to my mentoring sessions!

Steve Kern
College Senior

During the time that I have been working with Generation Text Online Mentor Program I have made wonderful friends, learned a lot about myself, and gained a sense of pride and responsibility in my dealings with my peers. Originally, I anticipated the weekly training meetings we have with our mentor were going to be a tad bit dry and dragged out as most training sessions are. Instead, it has turned into something that I actually look forward to. The meetings have turned into a safe space for me where I feel comfortable expressing my feelings and working through issues I have in my personal life, while using them to learn about myself and how to in turn, help others. I truly believe that this program has the potential to positively impact those who come across it and put effort into making a change.

Small Groups are so beneficial

Attending small groups every week has been such a benefit to my life. In our small group we have an opportunity to release stress and anything we are overwhelmed with by sharing it with everyone.
